Gaskatel HydroFlex Hydrogen Reference Electrode
HydroFlex is a compact, low-maintenance hydrogen reference electrode for reliable potential measurements in electrochemical research. Its replaceable internal hydrogen source removes the need for an external hydrogen supply.
Unlike conventional reference electrodes, HydroFlex contains no internal electrolyte, helping eliminate electrolyte leakage, ion discharge and liquid-junction potentials. Its chemically resistant PTFE construction enables operation in strongly acidic, strongly alkaline and concentrated fluoride-containing electrolytes.

User manual
The connecting test lead is not included with the standard HydroFlex electrode. First-time users may prefer the HydroFlex Starter Kit, which includes the test lead, an additional hydrogen cartridge and the required cartridge tools.
Important Operating Information
HydroFlex must be activated before first use. Following activation, the electrode should remain in distilled or deionised water for 24 hours before measurement. The internal hydrogen source operates continuously once activated, including when measurements are not being performed.
The hydrogen cartridge should be replaced promptly when its operating period expires. Refer to the manufacturer’s manual for complete activation, storage, maintenance and cleaning instructions.
